I'm Joanna Wawruch
an artist, illustrator, and surface pattern designer located in Switzerland.

My unconventional journey led me from studying astronomy and educating in a planetarium to finding my place as a 2D artist in the gaming industry. However, when my son was born so did the need for more time freedom. I spent some time rediscovering myself artistically and this is when I found my love for patterns. Since then I followed this path to a fulfilling art career.

I'm a quite versatile artist, willing to experiment and play with different art styles and techniques. My signature style is still out there to be discovered.

My designs are often very ornamented, layered and painterly. What sets them apart are rich, vibrant colours, flowing compositions and detailed linework. Through my patterns, I want to introduce beauty and wonder into people's interiors, wardrobes and everyday lives.
